Laura Esquivels' Law of Love is about a mans love for his new slave. He didn't get the origional land that he wanted, but he did get a nice plot and 50 indians. When he is clearing the plot or pyramid, he at first only sees it a bunch of rocks, but once he lays eyes on Citlali, the rocks are transcended into a "pyramid of love". Rodrigo can feel her coming, the same way someone can sense another person being in the room. His senses go directly to Citlali's hips. Citlali makes the magical realism for Rodrigo
